Where did you get this video? Did you create it!?! Could I borrow it? What a great way to teach students part of the writing process. Very create and fun way to get your students involved. This would be something to do in my own classroom with our flip cameras.
Jen, I appreciated the content of this video. What a great way to teach the revision process; having students peer teach the skill. It had quality information. I have personal interest in the topic, and am currently working on my research class within this same concept. Was this video a YouTube find? Are there others teaching the other elements of a workshop format as well?
Great video. I teach kindergarten and I introduce the concept of peer editing during the 4th quarter, I will have to use this to show them the concept in action.
Thanks for sharing this video. This is a great way to teach peer editing. I also told my colleagues about it and they are interested in seeing it as well. It will be a good reminder of the writing process.
Steph, I certainly did NOT create it, but thank you for thinking I could have! I found it on youtube with the search "writers workshop." Actually, once students are familiar with the writing process, it might be a good idea to have them make their own video. Teaching others helps for better learning, right?
Revising written work is always something students do not like to do. They often think that they don't need it and this is a great way to show them how easily it can be done and especially since it is fellow students teaching the concepts. I think the college students I work with would benefit from this as well. Thanks for sharing!
Your video was very good, although it is not directed at the age group that I am teaching it was still very good for the appropriate age groups. I really enjoyed the content and the point that it was trying to get across.
This is a great video! I think students learn best when they see real life examples. This video also showed them an example of what can be revised and how to do it. I also liked how they defined revise. Definitions always help with clarification and understanding.
